AAUW Diversity Statement:
In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability or class.
AAUW Funds provide support to advance education, research and self-development for women, and to foster equity and positive societal change.
Legal Advocacy Fund (LAF):
The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund provides funding and a support system for women seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination.
The AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund is the nation’s largest legal fund focused solely on sex discrimination in higher education.
Since 1981 the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund has helped students, faculty, staff, and administrators in higher education challenge discriminatory practices such as sexual harassment, denial of tenure or promotion, pay inequity, and inequality in women’s athletics programs.
